John Paul Lederach
Dr. John Paul Lederach

John Paul Lederach is a Professor of International Peace Building at the Institute of International Studies at the University of Notre Dame (US) and Distinguished Scholar at the Conflict Transformation Program at the Eastern Mennonite University (US). He has a proven track record in reconciliation and mediation in ethnic conflicts in Somalia, between the Miskitos and the government of Nicaragua and between the Mohawks and the Canadian government, as well as having a part of the dialogue processes in Northern Ireland, the Basque Country and the Phillipines. Among his publications are: The Moral Imagination: The Art and Soul of Building Peace (2005) and Building Peace. Sustainable Reconciliation in Divided Societies, (1998).

Reyes Mate
Dr. Manuel Reyes Mate

Manuel Reyes Mate (1942, Valladolid) has a Doctor of Philosophy awarded by the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and the Münster Wilhelms-Universität. He is Professor of Research at the Spanish CSIC of which he was a founding member. He is also the Project Director of the Ibero-American Encyclopedia of Philosophy and a regular visiting professor at several universities in Europe and America. One of his research interests focuses on the relationship between politics and faith, with works such as El ateísmo, ¿un problema político? (1973), o Mística y política (1990). He has analyzed in depth the significance of barbarism and the relationship between truth and the history of suffering, the central theme of his book Memoria de Auschwitz (2003).

Michele Sorice
Dr. Michele Sorice

Michele Sorice is Professor of Political Communication and Media Studies at LUISS University in Rome. He is also Research Director of the Massimo Baldini Centre for Media and Communication Studies. He teaches the Sociology of Media at the Pontifical Gregorian University as an Invited Professor. He was Professor at the University of Lugarno in Switzerland and at the La Sapienza University of Rome. He has given lectures at various conferences in European universities.

Lü Longen
Dr. Lü Longgen

Lü longgen (Beijing , 1940) is the Head of the Spanish and Portuguese Languages Department at the University of International Studies in Beijing (BISU) where he was also General Coordinator of Research Affairs. He was a member of National Tourism Administration of China, The Beijng Municipal Government Council for Tourism and the Council of the Chinese Society for the Teaching of Spanish and Portuguese Languages.

Enrique Dussel
Dr. Enrique Dussel

Enrique Dussel (1934, Argentina) has a Doctorate in Philosophy from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, a Doctor of History from la Sorbonne in Paris and a degree in Theology from Paris and Munster. He was awarded PhDs honoris causa from Freiburg (Switzerland) and the Universidad de San Andrés (Bolivia). He was exiled to Mexico in 1975. He was co-founder of the movement Filosofia de la Liberación (Philosophy for Liberation) and currently lectures in the Department of Philosophy at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (Mexico). His interests focus on the fields of Ethics and Political Philosophy. Some of his works include: Ética de la liberación en la edad de la globalización y la exclusión (1998), Hacia una filosofía política crítica (2001) and Materiales para una política de la liberación (2007).

Adela Cortina
Dr. Adela Cortina

Adela Cortina (1947, Valencia) has a Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Valencia. A fellowship at the University of Munich introduced her to Critical Rationalism, Pragmatism and the Marxist Ethic. She has been a visiting professor at universities Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Vrije (Holland) and Notre Dame (US). She is currently Professor of Ethics and Political Philosophy at the University of Valencia. She is also Director of the Fundación Ética de los Negocios y las Organizaciones, ETNOR (Foundation for Ethics of Business and Organisations) is a member of the National Commission for Reproductive Science and Technology. She is author of Ética mínima (1986), Ética aplicada y democracia radical (1993), y Por una ética del consumo (2002), y Ética de la razón cordial (2007).
